SOME QUESTIONS FOR MR. SOLHEIM
Mr. Solheim is reported to have told a delegation from World Alliance
for Peace that the Lankan government must stop colluding with Tamil para-military
groups. If that is so, has he brought this to the attention of the Lankan
government? If he has not, then is he not merely acting on behalf of the LTTE
when he says such a thing? In any case what proof has he to say this? On the
contrary there is overwhelming evidence that the Norwegian SLMM has been
colluding with the LTTE in this long trail of collaboration with the LTTE.
He says that it is legitimate for the government to seek a military solution but
he does not believe in such a solution. If he does not believe in a military
solution has he done anything to bring about a non-military solution? He then
says that Norway can assist only if both parties seek a peace solution. Does it
mean that neither party seeks a peace solution or it is only one party that does
not seek a peace solution? If it is one party could he name that party? We know
that the LTTE wants a separate state and peace to the LTTE means our government
accepting those terms. Mr. Solheim himself has admitted that our government will
not accept those terms. Could it therefore mean that it is our government that
is intransigent and is standing in the way of peace by not agreeing to a
separate state? When he says that if we want force we have to go to Delhi or
Washington does he mean that we should employ facilitators from either Delhi or
Washington? Does it also mean that Delhi and Washington are war mongers and
that Oslo are peace doves?
Mr. Solheim says that both the president and Mr. Kadiragamar has implied that
the LTTE are the sole representatives of the Tamil people. Please note Mr.
Solheim that the word imply is a subjective term which could therefore mean that
it is his own interpretation. Mr. Solheim was careful to avoid a positive term.
In this connection does Mr. Solheim sincerely believe that the LTTE are the sole
representatives of the Tamil people when it is obvious to any one not born
congenitally blind that there is an uprising against the LTTE by the ethnically
different Eastern Tamils?
When Mr. Solheim says that the high-tech equipment that the Norwegian government
gave the LTTE was with the approval of the UNP government is that not an
admission of the fact that the Norwegian government acting as facilitators has
actually collaborated with the LTTE in an act that is contrary to peace keeping?
Mr. Solheim has then stated that he cannot reveal what his plans are with
respect to that. To cap it all he says that he had the freedom to allow Hitler
or Mother Theresa to use it. If this is what he has been taught at the Norwegian
foreign ministry to young graduates on their first appointment to the foreign
office then that is very poor tutoring to be a diplomat.
At a conference held in Oslo on the 21st of August Mr. Falk Ruvik of R-Senter
Norway, a Norwegian patriot, exposed that Norway has supported LTTE
financially, and also with equipment and made every effort to make this Tamil
rebel organization a "legitimate" negotiation partner with the sovereign
Government of Sri Lanka and that Norway had participated in smuggling of
high-tech communication equipment to the Tamil militant organization.
He played a recorded telephone conversation by Jon Westborg, former Norwegian
Ambassador to Sri Lanka where one could hear Westborg saying that the Norwegian
government would pay for the cost of the equipment. The tapes also revealed that
a total of 6 tons of electronic equipment was delivered to the LTTE in 2002
including V-Sat equipment used in satellite communications. The wire taps also
revealed that the Norwegian generals have also given sensitive information to
the LTTE rebel leaders.
Mr. Solheim you can now listen to your own Jon Westborg revealing the role of
the Norwegian government to destabilize our country. Please log on to
